Welcome to Savage.com, a premier web gallery for unique art objects. We're just starting out, but our goal is to provide artists a forum to showcase their talents in an open, worldwide marketplace. And we'd like to make it easy for you to sell your art on the web.
Savage.com eases selling on the web by accomplishing three basic tasks: we will create and maintain an appealing, state-of-the-art web site that enhances the accessibility of your work via a strong presence in Internet search engines; we will ensure that the payment process runs smoothly and quickly; and we will be your liaison with buyers, freeing you to do what you do best - art!
We do have plans for the future as well. While we currently process only cash, money orders, and checks, rest assured that secure credit card purchasing is in our near future. Another goal is to have monthly openings for new artists on the site - this should aid you in marketing your own work, and generate loyal, repeat customers for the site. Still another goal is to provide a rich array of artworks, and to complement them with a site-wide search engine designed to search on attributes of an art piece. For example, if a buyer wants something blue, moody, and triangular, our search engine will display the Savage.com items that are likely candidates.
All kinds. If it looks like art, feels like art, and smells like art, we think it's probably art. We will judge the quality of submissions to the site, and we do reserve the right to reject any piece -- but we won't snobbishly turn away work because it may not sell in New York.
We don't want to focus on any particular medium - we want to see a wide variety. The artists chosen for our grand opening give a taste of the diversity of media we hope to see, and to show our buyers.
We are committed to quality … this means honoring your comments and suggestions, and providing excellent customer service. We also demand from our artists a similar commitment to quality in their artwork and prompt responses to inquiries.
This site is run by a unique team of artists and software consultants who have the time, energy, expertise, and interest to make this site a success. Now all we need is art. Yours.
