Savage.com is a web gallery where you can buy (or sell) unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art - and do it conveniently. We opened in the last quarter of 1999, and the site will be expanding with the new millenium early in 2000.
We believe art is for everybody, and this is our effort to put that belief into action. Savage.com acts as a meeting place between artists and buyers - we are a purchase facilitator, not an art wholesaler. Artists ship directly to buyers.
We at Savage.com are committed to providing high-quality products to our buyers and solid, dependable service to both our buyers and our artists. If you have any questions or comments about this site, about a purchase, or about selling your art at Savage.com, we want to hear from you.
Since we are a small gallery - at least for now! - some things about our process are a bit different from other sites where you might buy things online. These are spelled out below.
We ship orders within three days after the Savage.com has cash in hand. For example, if you send a money order, the item is shipped within three days after we receive it; if you send a check, the item ships within three days once the check has cleared. We are not yet set up to process credit card purchases, but that's coming in 2000.
Due to the nature of the business, not all orders can be fulfilled even though Savage.com will make every effort to avoid unfulfilled orders. If for any reason we cannot fulfill your order after you have sent payment, we will notify you promptly, cancel the order, and either refund your payment or apply it to another purchase (your choice).
The artists on Savage.com want you to be happy with the art you've purchased. If, within 10 days of receiving it, you decide an item isn't for you after all, you may return it in its original condition for a full refund (or credit toward another purchase). "Within 10 days" means that you have contacted us about the return, received a Return Authorization, and have shipped the item within 10 days of originally receiving it.
Please keep the shipping container and materials until you are sure you want to keep the item. If you need to return something, please follow the instructions on the packing slip. Also keep the following guidelines in mind.
· This is art we're dealing with, and the care of the item is of primary concern. Please repack items carefully in their original shipping container and materials, or use reasonable equivalents.
· Remember to fully insure the item when you ship it! If the item is returned damaged in any way, you are fully responsible. Insuring the item protects you from this liability.
· All return shipping costs are your responsibility.
We are committed to keeping your personal information private and secure. We will not sell or otherwise distribute it, or give anyone else access to it.
We will only contact you to fulfill orders or otherwise satisfy your requests. If, at any time, you wish us to remove your name from our contact database, we will promptly and cheerfully do so. Just say the word.
If you are interested in having your art sold on our web site please drop us an email.
